Tournament Rules

COMPETITION: Texas Scramble

  1. The team captain (to be decided by each foursome) is responsible for the scorecard.
  2. Four players tee off, pick the best ball of the four and play from that spot.
  3. All four players hit again, pick the best ball and continue the same procedure until the ball is holed out.
  4. Men hit from black tees.
  5. Women may hit from the red (ladies) tee box.
  6. All players play from chosen tee shots, fairway shots, chips and putts - the entire team plays from a single location at each shot.

ON THE FAIRWAY: place tee in the ground within 12" of the ball's position. The ball may be lifted and cleaned. All players now play their shots within a 12" radius of the marker tee.

ON THE GREEN: Mark your preferred shot with a ball marker. All putts are now played from this marker (not closer to the hole).

  1. Captains can have MAXIMUM OF 9 DRIVES.
  2. Captains please mark the scorecard accordingly.
  3. Holes must be played in 12-13 minutes per hole (total round of just over 4 hours).
No looking for lost balls for more than one minute, that is why you have extra balls!!
  4. Improve ball position by up to 12" on any lie, except in hazards or on greens, play ball as it lies.
  5. If a ball lands in a sand trap, you must rake the trap between each players shots.

MULLIGANS:

  1. Each player has two mulligans per day at their disposal.
  2. No transfering of mulligans.
  3. Use of a mulligan is a single re-shot by a single player - everyone does not re-shoot (or that would be 4 mulligans used).
  4. Captains must mark the scorecard on the holes where the mulligans were used.
  5. Mulligans can be used on teebox, on fairway or on green.
  6. Mulligans cannot be used for prizes (ie: Hole-in-One, KP’s and Longest Drive.)

AS RESPONSIBLE PLAYERS you are asked to assist in keeping the course in top playing condition by doing the following:

  • Replace all your divots.
  • Repair your ball marks on the greens - and at least one other.
  • Keep power carts away from the greens and traps.
  • Rake sand traps.
  • Replace flagstick carefully and correctly.
  • Use sand and seed when provided to repair divots.
  • Marshals and cameras will be on the course to ensure that all rules are followed.

ENJOY THE GAME... RESPONSIBLY

All participants will be required to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability form before teeing off. Please take a moment to read it carefully. See attached.
